Goal 13: Climate Action

Our science-based targets

Through the 2015 Paris Agreement, governments committed to limiting global warming to well below 2°C, with the ambition of limiting the rise of these temperatures to 1.5°C. The Science Based Target initiative was created to set a global standard for how companies should reduce their emissions and set targets to prevent the worst effects of climate change.

As part of our commitment to tackling climate change and its impacts, Hegelmann is aligning its decarbonisation strategy with climate science. We’re proud that the Science Based Targets Initiative approved our 2030 emission reduction targets.

Hegelmann Express GmbH has committed to reducing its scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. We have also committed to measuring and reducing our scope 3 emissions. This is our first step with the Science-Based Targets initiative.
