Hegelmann Group Supports Refugees Affected by The Conflict in Ukraine
With the Hegelmann Group having multiple facilities in Ukraine, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has deeply impacted our employees. In 2022, we responded to the crisis by taking action to support those affected by the conflict and contribute to humanitarian efforts.
We safely evacuated our employees and their families, provided shelter to refugees, collected essential items such as clothes, food, and medicine, and transported them to those who needed them most.
In 2023, Hegelmann continued its efforts to support our colleagues being relocated. Some of our initiatives include:

Counselling
We offered counselling services and access to mental resources for our employees dealing with the stress and trauma caused by the war.
Assistance
Legal assistance was provided to help employees navigate the immigration
process, including obtaining visas and work permits. Further assistance was
provided so that our employees could access social and health insurance.
Integration
Language classes and cultural training were provided to our newly relocated
colleagues to help them adapt to new environments and facilitate their
integration into the local community.
Housing and employment
All our employees were provided with accommodation and employment in
European Union countries. We also extended support to their families, helping
them identify schooling options for their children and employment within
Hegelmann companies for their partners.
